Mobility Management Committee

Overview

This committee supports the Mobility Council. It is a centre of expertise within TAC and a national forum for information exchange and problem solving related to the delivery of multimodal mobility services, principally in cities but also in small and rural communities. Its broad goals include:

  • Improving the quality, availability and integration of travel options in Canadian communities, with a focus on active transportation, public transit and other forms of shared mobility
  • Encouraging the more efficient use of motor vehicles through means such as carsharing, electrification, parking management, education, incentives and disincentives
  • Supporting effective and equitable strategies for promoting, pricing, delivering and coordinating different modes to enhance sustainability and benefit individuals

The Committee meets in person twice a year, and by teleconference as needed. Meetings are open to all employees of TAC member organizations, individual TAC members, and others at the discretion of the Chair. For more information on the Committee, see its Terms of Reference or contact Geoff Noxon.
