CNC-PIARC Membership

Membership on the Canadian National Committee of the World Road Association (PIARC) is by individual, collective agency or regional authority.  Membership fees are established by TAC and invoiced annually.  A portion of the CNC membership fees are paid to the World Road Association, with the remainder retained by TAC to support operations of the CNC.

To apply for CNC-PIARC membership, complete and submit the membership application form.

Collective Members

Collective members pay an annual fee of $1017.50 and receive:

1. four subscriptions to the Route/Roads Magazine, which focuses on new practices and current information in the international road field
2. access to PIARC publications and productions at a preferred rate
3. access to the members’ area of the PIARC website, including exclusive and regular updates on the Technical Committees' activity and the database of PIARC members
4. the PIARC electronic newsletter
5. the opportunity to appoint two representatives to the World Road Congress who will each benefit from a reduced registration fee to attend (must have been a CNC member in good standing for the three previous years)
6. the opportunity to appoint one representative to the International Winter Road Congress who will benefit from a reduced registration fee to attend (must have been a CNC member in good standing for the three previous years)
7. a copy of the published proceedings from each Congress (must have been a CNC member in good standing for the four previous years)

Individual Members

Individual members pay an annual fee of $154.00 and receive:

1. a subscription to the Route/Roads Magazine, which focuses on new practices and current information in the international road field
2. access to PIARC publications and productions at a preferred rate
3. access to the members’ area of the PIARC website, including exclusive and regular updates on the Technical Committees' activity and the database of PIARC members
4. the PIARC electronic newsletter
5. a reduced registration fee to both the World Road Congress and to the International Winter Road Congress (must have been a CNC member in good standing for the three previous years)
6. a copy of the published proceedings from each Congress (must have been a CNC member in good standing for the four previous years)

All members benefit from the two-way flow of information between knowledge experts from the international community and Canada. PIARC’s World Road Congresses (every four years) and Winter Road Congresses (also every four years, offset from World Road Congresses by two years) are tangible examples of some of the opportunities that are offered to members of the World Road Association.
