Workforce Development

Workforce Development

Transportation employers are facing worker shortages while grappling with the need to improve equity, diversity and inclusion. They are working to find, train and keep employees in a growing range of roles. Educational institutions are ensuring that new practitioners have the right knowledge and skills. TAC helps its members build a strong workforce through strategies like education, recruiting, professional development, and knowledge management.

Students considering a career in transportation can access a webinar recording, “Your Transportation Career – Different paths, different perspectives” and a directory of leading Canadian transportation employers.
The TAC Foundation, a charity that operates independently from TAC, provides annual scholarships to help support students’ post-secondary education in transportation-related studies.
