Small Municipalities Integrated Committee
This committee supports the Safety, Design and Operations Council. It is a centre of expertise within TAC and a national forum for sharing information and addressing challenges related to transportation in small municipalities.
Its goals include:
- Encouraging the development and dissemination of practical tools and approaches for the planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance and rehabilitation of transportation infrastructure in a small municipal context
- Fostering professional development for practitioners in small municipalities
- Identifying transportation trends in small municipalities and possible responses
The Committee works with TAC councils and committees to pursue outcomes of mutual interest related to transportation technologies and processes that meet the needs of small municipalities.
Getting Involved
Committee membership is open to interested employees of TAC member organizations and individual members of TAC.
The Committee meets during TAC’s Spring and Fall Technical Meetings and at other times as needed. Employees of TAC member organizations and individual TAC members may attend; others may attend if invited by the Chair.
